7 11 have $1 coffee and $2.50 donut

Some convenience stores have rolling specials or discounted items to encourage you into the store.

Traditionally this included the McDonald's 30 cent ice cream cone. It may be more now, but used to be a key demonstration of the marketing principle of "lost leader" - give away something cheap to get people in store, so more profitable business can be done.

At the of writing, 7 Eleven stores had the offer of $1 Coffee, and $2.50 donut available just about everywhere.

Its probably not the ideal breakfast, but a cheap snack morning, afternoon and night.
