Botany Bay, Sydney

Tue 03 Apr 2012
Not quite the first mainland settlement In Australia this large bay on the south side of Sydney has become a showcase of most things of modern-Western.

Morning time has local runners, walkers , fishermen and dog owners pounding the extensive foreshore. The bay entrance has ships jostling for berths against sprawling dock cranes, there long necks extending to the rising sun.

Mascot airport with its twin runways jutts into the middle of the bay with constant air traffic firing into the sky destined for goodness knows where.

The birds dont care.
