Europe, its over. For now. We have had such a great time with your hot Turkish nights, countless countries of culture, exotic food and unpronounceable sounds of your many languages. You were there watching me creep for 4 hours to another border crossing, being patient with me as I drove the terrible roads of Albania, then lured me to the beach in your bikini and held my hand as I jumped from a yacht into the impossibly clear waters of the Adriatic. It has not been without mishap and I smiled when you towed my car, clamped my wheel and poisoned my food.

Every moment an adventure, but in recent weeks you have grown cold and your mood overcast grey. That's not the Europe I can be with for now.

I promise to return, you are such an exotic mistress, but I long to return to my faithful. Despite her drawling accent and overpriced everything - she is my sunshine, my hot tropical shower and my history. She is my new years eve festival, my income and endless faithful love.
