Mon 06 Aug 2012 You would have to wonder what happened to prepaid telephone in Germany. Traveling here in December 2010 and 20 euros got you unlimited internet for a month on your smart phone / iPhone , but that is a thing of the past it appears.
With vodafone Germany your only prepaid option costs 15 euro plus 15 euro for some credit. This gets you going for the month. Included is a tiny 200 mb of data at 3G speeds... You can then purchase another 300 mb of internet using your credit, but only once per month.
For the business internet traveler this is useless - I managed to use the total allowance of 500mb in about 3 days.
What a pain in the ass - with another 2 weeks in Germany i have virtually no option but to stay abreast of matters at internet speeds not seen since the 90's, or buy another sim every time that I need more fast data.
Vodafone Germany your prepaid products are stupid.
